...... .. ..The Kuikkos.. was formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 2001 by drummer Bo Segovia Rylander and guitarist Jarkko Kuikko after that their earlier band ..Loyd.. collapsed. It started out as project and there was nothing planned in what way or style the music should turn out. Bo knew a fabulous guitar player in Ove Markström who had recently been in the famous indie/pop/rock group ....This Perfect Day..... After several hits and chart toppers they had called it quits a few years earlier on. After one "jam" the singer Mattias Silvell was brought in on lead vocals. Mattias had been in several different bands of which ....Very Ape.... was the last one before joining the Kuikkos. Very Ape was a rock band quite different from the likes of indie/pop/rock, more into groove and a certain roughness. Before they called it a day they had some minor success after gigging heavily, winning a rock contest in Bilbao, Spain, releasing an album and a few singles and playing the legendary CBGB's rock club in New York. .. The very first line up included Tony Carlsson on bass (ex Swedish garage rockers ....the Nomads....). Tony was soon to be replaced by Heinze Norzell whom Ove and Bo knew from the kindergarten where their kids attended. Heninze had a history in the Swedish punk scene where he started out in the punk band ....Sixten Redlös.... and continued to hardcore rockers ....G-ANX...., who up today have had some impact on the hardcore scene both in Sweden and over seas for the ones who would describe themselves as fans of very exclusive taste. .. The Kuikkos developed to be of local concern due to the fact that all the members where living in the same neighbourhood in the south west part of Stockholm. As one could see out of the musical perspective and the band members individual experience in the school of rock, the outcome of their music was very uncertain but then again not. .. Because their music could best be described as something with all the components that have already been mentioned above, as a fine mixture and blend of classic rock´n´roll, primitive punk, indie/pop melodies and in your face straightness from the garage rock. Musically the sounds from ..the Clash.. would be one of few things that the musicians have in common. Song writing is mainly done by Kuikko, Markström and Silvell, where Norzell and Segovia are a part of the arrangement of the songs. .. The Kuikkos aim is to come out and play and deliver their music 'live' which is considered being powerful, strong and intoxicating. -

Hiya! Here's a DIY Demo Video that I found from 2006..never did anything with it..it nearly made it to 'Fast Cheap and Out Of Control Album' (One Little Indian)..but in the end didn't.. so here it finally is...meanwhile I am getting on with my 3rd Album..VERY exciting!!..Spring! ....HK
