Welcome to the Official Leslie Kot MySpace Page. Leslie Kot - musician & poet grew up in Wroclaw, Poland listening to Radio Luxemburg enjoying ALL TYPES OF MUSIC and cites B.B. King and The Beatles as his biggest influences from that period. At the age of 16 he formed his first professional rockband "Mr. Kot i Ordynansi". During the next 20 years (1966-1986) of his career as a vocalist and guitarist he played concerts in almost every big town in Poland with bands such as PAKT, ROMUALD & ROMAN, STALOWY BAGAZ, KASA CHORYCH, OZZY...(pictures below). With those groups, Leslie made some records, TV shows etc. One of his songs - "Dialog pretensjonalny" reached "Nr 2" on the Polish Hit List published in the magazine "Na przelaj" in 1973. He also toured in England, Germany, fm Yugoslavia and Sweden... In 1983 Leslie Kot moved to Sweden and settled down in the beautiful city of Orebro. In 1986 he estabilished Rockmusic School under the patronage of Unga Örnar/ABF - Orebro. In 1998 Leslie made his debut as a poet with his collection of poems "Thank You Parents" (Dziekuje Wam Rodzice). Since then, he has published three more collections: "Time, time, time" ( Czas, czas, czas), "Valda dikter" and "Ojciec Jozef - Blues" (Father Jozef – Blues). Writing poetry, song lyrics, composing and playing music are always a large part of Leslies life. He looks forward to many new projects that are in the works... /TT .. Leslie Kot is a passionate, dedicated musician and writer. On this (Green Colour), his new album, he has put together a superbly tight group of musicians to play music that demonstrates their combined experience of the Blues, Jazz, Rock and Funk. The lyrics are written by Leslie in English, and express - in an often surreal way - observations on life as he sees and feels it. These are not songs that you will find yourself singing, they are Leslie's and his alone, the voice wheezing and snarling croaking and caressing the words - sometimes spoken sometimes sung.
