Remember this morning when we reported that Sacha Baron Cohen wanted to go to the Oscars in character as “The Dictator?” Well, the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has apparently had enough, and has pulled the actor’s tickets to the awards show.
According to a Deadline source, this move means that he is being banned from the 84th Academy Awards, despite being on the cast of “Hugo,” the Paramount Pictures film nominated for Best Picture. Their inside source has confirmed their decision is because of his costume shenanigans:

“Unless they’re assured that nothing entertaining is going to happen on the Red Carpet, the Academy is not admitting Sacha Baron Cohen to the show.”

No, we wouldn’t want the show to be entertaining, now would we? Based on his previous run-in with the Academy, I don’t think he’ll be backing down, do you?
